Attorney Donald B. Marks grew up in New York City and graduated from Queens College (City University of New York) magna cum laude. He then attended and graduated from N.Y.U. Law School, is a member of the New Year Bar, and practiced criminal defense in N.Y.C. for several years. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1969. Mr. Marks relocated to Los Angeles in 1969-1970 and served briefly as a Deputy Attorney General, State of California, before forming his own law firm specializing in criminal law. He has practiced law for over forty (40) years and has tried well over one hundred (100) jury trials in state and federal courts. Mr. Marks has handled thousands of cases involving all types of criminal charges, including, but not limited to, assault, murder, rape, kidnapping, fraud, bribery, income tax evasion and theft.
Mr. Marks has handled numerous high-profile criminal cases relating to pimping/pandering, organized crime and internet sex crimes. Mr. Marks and his partner, Anthony P. Brooklier, have practiced law together since 1976 and are well-known in the Los Angeles legal community for their many years of representing all types of clients charged with both violent crimes as well as white collar offenses. They are highly skilled, aggressive and most of all, dedicated to their clients.
- Marks is an active member in several federal circuit and district courts.
- Marks is admitted to appear in the U.S. District Court in the Central, Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California, as well as the First, Second, and Ninth Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court.
- Marks has been a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and acted as the Chairman of the White Collar Crimes Committee from 1981 until 1985.
- Marks is a member of the Criminal Courts Bar Association, acted as a member of the Federal Indigent Defense Panel from 1971 until 1979, and was a member of the American Bar Association, in its criminal justice section.
- Marks was also on the Board of Governors of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice from 1998 until 2001. Marks is currently a member of the President's Club of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Century City Bar Association, which named him Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year, 2000-2001.
Anthony P. Brooklier

Anthony P. Brooklier, born in Lynwood, California, attended Loyola Marymount University, where he earned a B.A. in 1968. Brooklier then attended University of California at Los Angeles Law School, where he earned his law degree in 1971.
- Brooklier was admitted to the California Bar Association in 1972, and worked as an attorney in the California Deputy Attorney General's Office from 1972 until 1973.
- Brooklier is admitted to appear in numerous U.S. District Courts and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, as well as the California and United States Supreme Courts.
- Brooklier is currently a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Criminal Courts Bar Association, which named him Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year, 2001-2002.
